These are predominantly African safaris, but we also throw in other destinations: SE Asia, India, Antarctica and the Arctic, the Himalayas, Mongolia. The planning for these starts 2-3 years before we depart, they are small groups so they do sell out VERY quickly, and ideas for the destinations we choose often come from our clients themselves. As in “Charlie, do you lead groups to Namibia’s Skeleton Coast?”, or “Charlie, how would you feel about leading us to the Himalayas to see snow leopards and other wildlife?” It all starts as an idea, a dream, a need — yours and ours!!

October 2025: Mexico, for the Day of the Dead Festival!! We have secured an entire 100 year old, private hacienda outside of Merida to enjoy this festival, take cooking and tequila classes, and visit nearby Aztec ruins and a national park for flamingos and other bird life. 12 pax only. SOLD OUT.
Oct 28 to Nov 4 2025: Mexico’s “Day of the Dead Festival” at Hacienda Petac near Merida, Mexico. We have the total, sole use of this beautiful hacienda set on over 100 acres just outside of Merida, not far from the Yucatan Mayan ruins. A very chill holiday. SOLD OUT
August 13 – 26 2025: Zimbabwe safari for 10 pax max. We will safari to Mana Pools National park and Hwange National Park, and finish in Victoria Falls. Zimbabwe is probably our favorite destination (although it’s hard to choose!), and we always love sharing the best kept secret in Africa.A FEW PLACES LEFT!!
August 1-12 2025: Zambia safari with Classic Zambia Safaris. We will meet in Zambia’s capital, Lusaka, and take a charter flight to the Zambezi Valley and stay in two camps in this area, before flying across the country to Kafue National Park. This is a very authentic, old school safari that will keep us close to nature. SOLD OUT
August 1-15 2025: Zimbabwe safari to Gonarezhou and Mana Pools National Parks, and Victoria Falls. 10 people max. We’ll meet in Harare and take a chartered bush flight to the very Remote Gonarezhou National Park for 4 nights at Mahove Camp, to an incredibly exquisite ecosystem on the Zim-Mozambique-South Africa border area. No scheduled airline flights to this location, which means we have this park pretty much all to ourselves. From there we will charter another bush flight to Mana Pools National Park, on the banks of the Zambezi River. We’ll have 4 nights at one of our favorite camps, Little Vundu Camp. From there, we will fly a bush flight to Victoria Falls for two nights at the Falls. SOLD OUT
May 29 to June 7 2025: Fishing safari to Zambia’s Barotse Flats: This will be an expedition of sorts to get there, but once there we will have a very comfortable fishing lodge. This stretch of the Zambezi River is quite difficult to reach (that’s what we do, organize this for you!), which means its huge, aggressive tiger fish have very little fishing pressure. On previous trips, we have caught tiger fish up to 21lbs. The period we are fishing is when the flood water recedes, bringing the bait into the main river channels, when — it is devoured by hungry tiger fish schooling the bait fish into bait balls, much as tuna and dolphin do. Fly fishing or conventional. Follow on photo safaris very possible. Write for details. SOLD OUT
February 2025 SE Asia 2025: We will follow the same itinerary as the January 2025 trip, but begin with the Siem Reap – Angkor Wat add on at the beginning, and then fly to Hanoi to do the Vietnam portion of the trip. SOLD OUT
January 2025 SE Asia: This photography-centric trip will begin in Hanoi and take a small group through it’s wonderful architecture and historical sights, and move on to a short Halong Bay cruise and then Trang. We will then fly to Vietnam’s ancient capital of Hue to see the palaces and historical sights of this charming city. We will stop for an overnight in Da Nang to shoot its special bridges and sight, before moving on to Hoi An. Hoi An is a UNESCO site: fantastic architecture, food, and shopping…and the lantern capital of the World. We will then fly to Ho Chi Minh City and shoot the rural scenes south of this big city, and see the historical sights of HCMC. Add on: we have a special add on to this trip, flying to the amazing temples of Angkor Wat and the fun city of Siem Reap. SOLD OUT
